This protocol is for an instrument that can
be implemented by facilitators of Farmer Research Networks (FRNs) to feed both short-term learning loops
of the FRNs, as well as contribute to broader efforts to implement FRNs.
The observation protocol can be
complemented by other methods like surveys, ethnographies, and interviewing.
Its main benefit is being systematic and using existing resources efficiently.
