Principles of experimentation that farmers need to understand

If farmers take more roles in experimentation then they need to understand the basic principles of how an experiment works. Here is an attempt at listing the minimum set of principles that it would be useful for farmers to understand, along with a simple explanation of each. The aim is to express these in a way that an interested farmer could understand, and that could be translated into local languages.This would be useful for those involved in farmer-participatory research projects, and as part of a farmer research network.
