An infographic, created by Sara Vaca based on information from Michael Q. Patton's 'Qualitative Research and Evaluation Methods' (Patton, 2015).  It illustrates 40 sampling strategies for use in qualitative studies. The strategies are described and shown visually in simplistic diagram form, making them easier to understand quickly. They are also categorised into types of sampling for different kinds of data requirements. 

This graphic could be a very helpful source of suggestions or a quick reference guide for researchers, students or anyone interested in designing a qualitative study or survey. It would also be a useful handout or shareble reference to accompany training such as in a workshop or webinar.
