This is the third video in a series designed to help you learn the fundamentals of Open Data Kit (ODK) and mobile data collection. In Part 3, we look in more detail at how to create questions in your XLSForms in Excel. The video explains the different question types, when/why to use them, and how to create them in an XLSForm. Question types covered include:Multiple and single select Text Integer/Decimal Other Metadata CalculateAn example XLSForm is available to download, which you can explore and use to follow along and practice alongside the videos. You can also download the presentation in the form of a PowerPoint slideshow. See the downloads listed below. There is also an accompanying video, which goes over the examples discussed in this part, looking at them in situ in the XLSForm. The series may be helpful for researchers, students or anyone else who may wish to carry out data collection using mobile devices. This video series was written and presented by Alex Thomson for Statistics for Sustainable Development.
