This publication is a digest of an Evidence Note commissioned by the UK Department for International Development (Fall Armyworm: Impacts and Implications for Africa) and published by CABI in September 2017.
The purpose of the Evidence Note is to review current evidence of the potential impact of FAW in Africa, with the aim of assessing the likely social/economic impact on agricultural sectors and the potential consequences if left unmanaged, recommending appropriate control options and next steps, and collating evidence of current FAW biology and ecology, and its future distribution.
